Covered Head to Toe: Wild Comfort Body Care at Discover Rural Oxford

Skincare doesn’t get much more hands-on than this. Danielle Paluska, owner of Wild Comfort Body Care in Woodstock, has been handcrafting natural soap, moisturizers, deodorant, and other skin and hair care products since launching the business in October 2014.

Every product starts with all-natural ingredients, and Danielle’s approach to sustainability runs through the entire process. When soap is trimmed during production, the leftover pieces aren’t thrown out. Instead, they’re saved and melted down to become felted soap, with each batch containing a different combination depending on what’s been trimmed that week.

These felted soaps are wrapped in wool, which shrinks around the bar over time and provides gentle exfoliation as it’s used. Wool also happens to be naturally antibacterial, making it a practical and thoughtful addition rather than just a nice touch.

At Discover Rural Oxford, running September 15–17, 2026, visitors will get the chance to sample some of Wild Comfort’s products in person — a hands-on (and good clean) way to experience what Danielle has built.

If you can’t make it to the event, Wild Comfort Body Care welcomes visitors to their shop at 445300 Gunn’s Hill Road in Woodstock, Ontario, and offers their full product line online at wildcomfort.ca. Danielle also hosts in-person soap-making and felting workshops for anyone who wants to get even more hands-on with the process.

However you experience it, Wild Comfort lives up to its name — and its products really do have you covered, head to toe.
