Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Here’s your reminder to wear 🧡orange🧡 to commemorate and acknowledge First Nations people who attended residential schools across Canada. It’s also important to see and hear the people who presently stand before us telling the stories and advocating for the truth to be brought to light. Many living First Nations people experience intergenerational effects of these schools, which makes this day tremendously hard for many people. ⁣ Please show your support in whichever way you can. @beekistgrowers , established in September of 2023, is housed in an old airplane hangar on their property, outside of Kintore. Jeremy and Sarah converted the hangar into a vertical farm for nutrient dense herbs, lettuces, and microgreens. They grow year round in a climate controlled aeroponic growing facility, hand picking their product for optimal plant regeneration and heath. “Oxford County is so great for being a community based area.” says Sarah.
