Some of the best business ideas are born at the dinner table — and GoodPud is living proof.
Sisters Polly and Sarah Senior co-founded GoodPud in Tillsonburg after Sarah, who had emigrated to Canada from Yorkshire, UK, found herself unable to track down the style of indulgent chilled dessert she’d grown up with. When Polly — a career-long food industry professional with over 25 years in food product development and manufacturing — came to visit for Thanksgiving, the idea clicked: why not make it themselves?
The result is GoodPud: small-batch, deeply indulgent chocolate desserts made with fresh, local Ontario cream and the finest Belgian chocolate. The desserts are minimally processed, preservative-free, and come in individually portioned glass pots that are resealable, recyclable, and reusable.
Current flavours include Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, and Salted Caramel.
Despite being a young business, GoodPud has already earned legendary status with foodies in the area, and their products are now available at select retailers across Ontario, from Tillsonburg to Toronto.
At Discover Rural Oxford, running September 15–17, 2026 in the Rural Pavilion at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, visitors will be able to sample and purchase GoodPud in person.
If you can’t make the show, visit GoodPud at 39 North Street East, Unit A in Tillsonburg, open Thursday through Saturday 12pm–6pm. Find their full retailer list at goodpud.ca.
The proof, as they say, is very definitely in the pudding.
