Partnerships provide businesses with learning opportunities and resources to help grow their tourism business
Tourism Oxford is offering a variety of partnership opportunities for local tourism businesses and organizations looking to increase their reach and engage audiences. Businesses that meet appropriate criteria, developed through research and consultation with the tourism industry, are eligible to participate in a variety of marketing activities. Eligible businesses will be provided with an opportunity to receive a free listing on tourismoxford.ca. Other partnership benefits include specialized supports to coach local businesses in developing experiential tourism products, and the opportunity to take part in culinary tourism programs including Oxford Fresh initiatives.
The goal of the new criteria program is to support more businesses in meeting the needs of tourists while ensuring a quality visitor experience. The criteria is a starting point for businesses to consider ways they can improve their interactions with and services provided to customers or visitors. Examples of qualifying criteria include having an up-to-date website, being active on at least one social media channel, and owning and maintaining Google and Trip Advisor listings to ensure customer reviews are monitored and responded to accordingly.
The new partnership model offering free website listings provides an opportunity for more new and growing businesses to participate while allowing those who can contribute to broader marketing campaigns to collaborate on joint marketing opportunities.
