Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation (“ROEDC”)

By participating in any ROEDC program, activity, event, or interview, you agree to the general terms below. Some programs have additional program-specific terms, which are noted on the relevant application or registration form and linked to the corresponding section on this page.

Core Terms (Apply to All ROEDC Programs)

Photo/Video & Media Release

I understand that while participating in an ROEDC Activity, I may be photographed or filmed. I hereby grant permission to ROEDC and its designated content partners to photograph me and to record my voice, likeness, performances, poses, acts, and appearances, and to use my picture, photograph, silhouette, and other reproductions of my physical likeness and sound (collectively, the “Project Photo and Video Materials”) as part of the Activity and its unlimited distribution, advertising, promotion, exhibition, and exploitation by any method or device now known or hereafter devised, without compensation to me, except as otherwise agreed in a separate signed writing between myself and ROEDC or the participating Project Partners.

Waiver and Release

I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless ROEDC, its owners, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, licensees, agents, the Activity holders, Project Partners and sponsors, and Activity volunteers (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, injuries, or causes of action arising out of this agreement, my appearance in the Project, or the creation and exhibition of the Photo and Video Materials, on any legal theory whatsoever. In no event shall I have any right to seek injunctive or equitable relief against the Released Parties arising out of any use or non-use of the Project Photo and Video Materials.

General Provisions

This Waiver and Release of Liability and Release of Image for Use shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, and if any portion is held invalid, the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

Privacy Policy

Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation is committed to protecting your Personal Information, which protection is regulated by the Act. We may collect your Personal Information from time to time, including Personal Information obtained prior to, at the time, and following the date hereof, to assist the delivery of business support services offered to you. We may provide your Personal Information to Community Partners assisting with program delivery. Rural Oxford EDC does not sell or release Personal Information to any third parties, except as set out herein, or unless required at law. Rural Oxford EDC has or will provide you with free information resource services, which include the provision of information, documentation, and publications (the “Information”). The Information is for general guidance on your business venture. Program-Specific Terms

Discover Rural Oxford: Marketing Partner Program & Media Release 

For and in consideration of being accepted as a Marketing Partner in the “Discover Rural Oxford” exhibit (the “Program”), the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby agree as follows:

Program Participation

As a Marketing Partner, I agree to access advice and relevant digital marketing training and support, and to stay engaged and actively promote the “Discover Rural Oxford” exhibit. I confirm that all information submitted in my application is true and complete to the best of my knowledge, belief, and understanding. I understand that any misrepresentation, falsification, or material omission of information on this application may result in my application being declined.

I acknowledge that ROEDC program administrators have sole discretion to review, accept, and/or deny an application if it does not fit or align with the organization’s overall needs, priorities, and mandate to serve.

I understand that ROEDC, its program administrators, directors, community partners, employees, and representatives shall not be liable for any damage or loss whatsoever, or howsoever arising, including damage or loss arising from any advice, opinions, representations, warranties, or the provision of information under the Marketing Partner Program.

Media Release and Consent

I authorize ROEDC, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, and the Social Factory (collectively, the “Discover Rural Oxford Project Partners”) the right and permission to copyright and/or publish, reproduce, or otherwise use my name, voice, and likeness in video, photographs, written materials, and audio-visual recordings. I acknowledge these materials may be used for commercial and/or non-commercial purposes, may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, and/or distributed, and may be used individually or in conjunction with other media in any medium — including print, digital, and public broadcast — for any lawful purpose. There is no time limit on the validity of this release, nor are there any geographic limitations on where these materials may be distributed. I grant the Discover Rural Oxford Project Partners and their employees, agents, licensees, successors, and third-party organizations all ownership rights and irrevocable right and permission to use, copyright, publish, sell, distribute, and/or promote the recorded video, photo, interview, and/or audio.

Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

I understand my participation is voluntary and that I may discontinue my involvement at any time before signing this document. If I choose to discontinue participation after signing, I will notify the principal parties as soon as possible, and I understand the primary applicant may be responsible for recovering the costs of the Program as the Discover Rural Oxford Project Partners see fit.

I understand that the Discover Rural Oxford Project Partners can identify no risk presently, and that I take full responsibility for my involvement in this Program and the risks it may entail (whether legal, physical, or mental). I release the Discover Rural Oxford Project Partners from any claims, demands, losses, damages, suits, and liabilities of any kind whatsoever in connection with the foregoing. I certify that I am over eighteen years of age and am competent to contract in my own name insofar as the above is concerned.

Acknowledgment

By providing my digital signature and submitting this online application, I declare that I have completely read and fully understand the above consent and release and agree to be bound by it. I release any and all claims against the Discover Rural Oxford Project Partners, and any person or organization utilizing this material for marketing, educational, promotional, and/or any other lawful purpose.

Business Spotlight: Interview & Photo/Video Consent

For and in consideration of being featured in a Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation (“ROEDC”) Business Spotlight (the “Feature”), the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby agree as follows:

Release of Image and Content for Use

I understand that as part of this Feature, I may be interviewed, photographed, and/or filmed. I hereby grant permission to ROEDC and its designated content partners to interview me, photograph me, and record my voice, likeness, statements, and appearance, and to use my picture, photograph, quotes, and other reproductions of my likeness, business, and statements (collectively, the “Spotlight Materials”) as part of the Feature and its unlimited distribution, advertising, promotion, and exhibition — including but not limited to the ROEDC website, social media channels, print materials, and partner promotion — by any method or device now known or later devised, without compensation to me, except as otherwise agreed in a separate signed writing between myself and ROEDC.

I understand that ROEDC and its content partners may edit my interview responses and the Spotlight Materials for length, clarity, and style, and that the final published Feature is at ROEDC’s discretion.

Waiver and Release

I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless ROEDC, its owners, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, licensees, agents, and Project Partners (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of this agreement, my participation in the Feature, or the creation and exhibition of the Spotlight Materials, on any legal theory whatsoever. In no event shall I have any right to seek injunctive or equitable relief against the Released Parties arising out of any use or non-use of the Spotlight Materials.

Acknowledgment of Participant

I certify that the information I provide is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and that I am authorized to speak on behalf of the business named in this Feature. I acknowledge that I may withdraw my participation at any time prior to publication, at my sole discretion, by notifying ROEDC in writing.

General Provisions

This Waiver and Release of Liability and Release of Image and Content for Use shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, and if any portion is held invalid, the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.

I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by agreeing to it, and have agreed to it freely and voluntarily without any inducement, assurance, or guarantee being made to me.
