If you can meet these requirements and would like a spot on one of the three weekends please email oxfordcountyag@gmail.com with the date(s) you could possibly participate and what sample(s) you want to provide by April 9, 2025 at 4 p.m. ET. June Nussey will be in touch to confirm if a spot is available for you.
The successful applicants will need to provide the following:
- Provide tasting samples on one or more of the following dates and times at the Ingersoll Cheese and Agricultural Museum, in their event barn. Saturday May 10, 24, and 31, from 11 am to 3 pm
- The samples must feature the vendors product. If including other ingredients preference is they are locally sourced. You can find local grains, syrups, animal products, vegetables and fruit produced in Oxford County.
- Provide at least one recipe, with photo, to be posted on www.OxfordFresh.ca, providing producer credit
- Complete the required Southwest Public Health paperwork and meet their requirements to offer these services (link will be provided)
- Supply all necessary equipment for area prep and handing out samples. Table chairs provided.
- Producers can sell their goods while at the event. Electronic payment option required
- Arrive and set up to be ready to greet guests at 11am and complete tear down by 4 pm
Producers will be reimbursed $250 for each Saturday they are providing samples at this event.
This event will be part of the month long celebration of Big Cheese Days. This annual event is held every Saturday in May with special tours, flavours and activities happening at locations along the Oxford County Cheese Trail (www.OxfordCountyCheeseTrail.ca). Big Cheese Days will be promoting these Oxford Fresh Demos as part of the event.
